Cannabis use has always carried a certain stigma, at least in my lifetime. Even though I partook recreationally through high school and some of college (don't worry, my parents know), I still very much did not want to be associated with the weed brand.

Lazy, unmotivated, sloth-esque, dumb, and irresponsible, all words that have perpetually been used to describe those who could be called “potheads” - people who use cannabis regularly. And while these adjectives could certainly be slapped on some people who fall in that category, if we’re being honest, there are plenty of stone-cold sober people who could be called all of those things as well.
