Let’s just jump straight in:

Many places in Scripture instruct believer of Christ to be sober-minded. 1 Peter 4:7; 5:8; Titus 2:2, 6; 1 Corinthians 15:34 to name a few. In nearly every case, it’s presented in terms of end-times (we’ve been living in “the end times” since Jesus’ final departure from Earth), and a believer’s capacity to do good works for the kingdom.

And I wholeheartedly support and affirm the idea that Christians should be sober-minded. The most prominent authors of the New Testament drove this point time after time, both Paul and Peter mention it more than once in their writings. There is no taking away from this, we as Christians are called to something higher (lol), we need to be in good mind to share the Gospel, to intercede on our own and others behalf, to stand against the schemes of the enemy, & to love others well.
